The Catch-up Post

Hello all! You've missed a lot in the past month or so. Allow me to fill you in...

Family camp/ Youth camp 2012 was amazing! Chad Seabright (enkindleministries.com) was the youth camp speaker this year and spoke on the topic of being an overcomer.

"They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death." Revelation 12:11

He taught us not to dwell on negative thoughts or thoughts from the enemy, but to instead cast them down. If we dwell on positive thoughts and thoughts from Christ, it will only improve the lives we are trying to live FOR Christ. He also taught us about the spiritual blessings we have recieved through Christ if He is our Lord and Saviour.

We are blessed, redeemed, holy, blameless, adopted, loved, forgiven, and chosen by God through Christ (Ephesians 1:3-7 paraphrased). We did not have an altar call on this particular day. Our altar was at the bowling alley that afternoon. If we bowled a gutter ball we were to shout at the top of our lungs, "I am forgiven!". Strikes? "I am redeemed!". 7/10 split? "I am holy!". Front pin hit? "I am chosen!". It was such an awesome way to publicly declare what our God has done for us.

During camp every year is my parents wedding anniversary. Dad chose to celebrate this year on their 25th, by surprising Mom with a renewing of vows in front of the whole camp! So romantic!

Renew Camp 2012 was spent watching six little Warner children. Which turned out to be about three at a time all week because they were dropping like flies due to strep.

Right after Renew, we had family from California and Tennesee at our house. I love my cousins:)
Sara and I are only a month and seven days apart (we even have a song about it).

I also took my cousin Alisha's son's 4 year old pictures. Blaine is an absolute doll baby and its hard to pick just one but here it is:

I'm now, along with my parents, on a gluten free diet and have a ton of brands, recipes, and no-no's that I could pass along to you if you are in need. If you have any questions about gluten and why going off of it makes you lose weight, I'd be more than willing to help :).

Tomorow is my last first day of High School. Bittersweet is how I describe it. Jennie and I have been working all summer on my Senior pictures, attempting to get some in every season. Here is a small sample:

We've been playing around with colors a lot while editing, let me know what you think.

If that post wasnt random enough for you, I don't know what will be.

Peace out, girl scouts:).
