dying to self; rising with Christ

This Sunday was our church baptism and picnic. And was it full. 365 people showed up. 365 (!!!).

And most importantly 21 people were baptized! It was an awesome day for God's glory!

{Pastor Rob, Bennet(B-schnizzle), and Cory (Bennet's dad)}

Baptism by emersion is a symbol of dying to your old self (ways) when you go under water and then rising with Christ when you come out. It is an amazing expirience. I was baptized a few years ago myself.

So proud of everyone who was baptized on Sunday!

"May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face shine on you and give you His peace. And may you always love Jesus first above all else. Amen."  Numbers 24-26

"Paul said, 'John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus."
Acts 19:4

Christmas in July???

Here's the deal. On Christmas Eve at Granny's house, we started a new tradition similar to our Easter egg dying tradition. We made four gingerbread houses (we being the grandkids). I need a vote to see which one you think looks the best.

***I meant to do this in December, but let's be real, when do I remeber to blog?***

House #1: Built by Josh, Mike, and Andrew. Adorned with, yes, a meatball, fork, spoon, and filled with M & Ms I believe.

House #2: Built by Kelsey, Zoey, and Myself. We have a nice peppermint chimney and railing (for that slippery foil), and two marshmellow trees.

House #3: Built by Paige, Danielle, and Kimi. There is a zigzag M&M roof and a nice red hot pathway to the house.

House #4: Sorry about the wonky picture. This house was built by Liz, Payton, and Jackson. They have some icicles and a marshmellow snowman in the front yard.

It's all up to you now! Don't be afraid to comment(bloggers actually encourage that). Just comment with the house number that you like, and eventually(if I remember) I will tally them up and see who the winner is!

Ready, Set, Go!
